Hi, I'm Jen. After more than 30 years working in catering, venues, event operations, and the beautiful chaos of this industry, I've learned a few things, (sometimes I had to learn twice). Some lessons came through the years of experience, while some through making mistakes. Some things were learned because another person's brilliant idea became my crisis to manage. I'm still learning today, less about execution and more about personal priorities and keeping strong boundaries, but still very much learning, none the less. My experiences from the past are the catalysts of prevention with current events, informing decisions that result in seamlessly executed celebrations today. I've also discovered that the things I've learned the hard way can save another professional time, money, frustration, and a whole lot of unnecessary bullshit. That's why The Event Edit exists. I share practical tools, hard-won lessons, honest, occasionally profane observations, and my own working resources for the people executing the events. My people. My friends.
